The disciples in the early church declared, "We must obey God rather than man," and also, "We cannot help but speak about what we have seen and heard." (Acts 5:29, Acts 4:19-20) The Apostle Paul charged Timothy to, "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2)." Are we supposed to follow their example or were these Scripture written as history and not to be applied by followers of Jesus Christ? You may have heard of Pulpit Freedom Sunday which is this weekend, October 2.
