As hard as I have looked, I have yet to find a verse where Jesus tells us life would be easy as His disciple. Quite the contrary, we are warned that we would be the scorn of the world and seen as foreigners and aliens to those who choose the ways of the world. Looking at the latest news on our unstable economy as well as the abortion, sexuality, and health care fronts, all indicators seem to point to just how our beliefs as Christians contradict the humanist values of this fallen world.
